UM-Dearborn and UM-Flint Customers

Eligible students, staff and faculty from UM-Dearborn and UM-Flint are welcome to purchase software from Showcase.

UM-Flint customers: please note that Microsoft licensed software MUST be purchased on your home campus through the ITS Software Store.

As an authorized academic reseller, we offer great deals on both Mac and Windows software.

Due to the educational discount, software vendors have strict guidelines about who can buy, how many of the same software packages you can purchase, and how many times the software can be installed. Some titles require signed licensing agreements.

Please select products carefully because software is not returnable. We can help you determine if your computer will handle the system requirements of the software you're buying. The more you know about your computer's operating system, memory and tech specs the better.

If you wish to use Office 365 for university business, you may be able to save and access your files using your M+Box account. Please make sure your data types are approved for storage in M+Box. For more information about storage options available on campus, visit the Sensitive Data Guide on the U-M Safe Computing website.

Please note that the ITS Service Center does not offer support for Office 365 Education. If you have questions or need assistance with Office 365, please visit Microsoft Office Online Support. Online tutorials for Microsoft Office applications are available through lynda.com to faculty and staff. (Temporary staff and students are not eligible.) Learn more about lynda.com and other technical training.

Because U-M provides licensing for Microsoft products for faculty and staff on university-owned devices, Microsoft provides this program at no additional cost to the subscriber. The required user agreement is between the individual and Microsoft, similar to if you were to purchase the software on your own. Read the Microsoft Office 365 Education terms and conditions (PDF).
