How to Buy

You can shop, test drive products, and get personalized service at either of our 2 locations during our regular business hours.

Order online anytime to have products shipped to you or held for pickup at either of our locations.

Financial Assistance

While not a loan program, our payroll deduction and student account billing programs may help finance a computer purchase for eligible customers.

Students needing assistance with loans or funding for a computer purchase are encouraged to discuss their options with a financial aid advisor.

Some vendors limit sales to specific groups. Rules vary by product and vendor. Please contact us if you have any questions about buying at Computer Showcase.

Purchasing Limits for Individuals

Vendors limit the number of computers an individual may purchase in one academic year (we use July 1 to June 30) to:

By purchasing from Showcase, you agree that the computer(s) and/or software you buy are for personal use only. You may not resell software. Any computer you buy may not be sold within two years from the date of purchase. Violators may be subject to disciplinary action by U-M.

Price Changes

Showcase does not receive advance notice of vendor product or price changes. Whenever possible, we will offer a refund (or other form of credit); however, most products are not eligible for vendor price protection, and we are unable to fund refunds without vendor support.

We work hard to keep our products as affordable as possible, and we regret those instances when we cannot refund a price drop retroactively.
