By purchasing from Showcase, you agree that the computer(s) and/or software you buy are for personal use only. You may not resell software. Any computer you buy may not be sold within two years from the date of purchase. Violators may be subject to disciplinary action by U-M.
ALL returns require a receipt. Please make your return at the same location you originally purchased the product.
Please save all packaging until you determine that your product is working correctly.
Defective products should be returned as quickly as possible (preferably within one week) for a full refund. Please inspect your product(s) upon receipt and report defects to Computer Showcase immediately.
Some products are not eligible for return. Please discuss with our sales staff prior to your purchase if you have any questions.
Unopened product may be returned within two weeks without penalty if packaging is intact and undamaged.
Opened product may be returned within two weeks if return includes complete product in the original carton with all equipment, packaging, warranties, manuals and accessories. A 10% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. Please note that most computers cost a minimum of $100 to return.
Dell laptops must meet Dell's criteria of "inoperable upon first use" to be considered defective:
We can only replace products that meet this criteria; any other complaint prompting return will be handled as a Dell warranty issue.
Opened iPods are subject to the standard 10% restocking fee or $29, whichever is greater, to cover the cost of the earphones. Unfortunately, we cannot resell earphones, but you may keep them if you wish.
Licensed software (Microsoft, Adobe, SAS, SPSS, Matlab, Mathematica and JMP) is not returnable unless defective. Defective software can be exchanged but not refunded.
Adobe software - issues with Adobe software (eg. incorrect platform or installation issues) must be handled by the manufacturer. Adobe customer service:

Showcase does not receive advance notice of vendor product or price changes. Whenever possible, we will offer a refund (or other form of credit); however, most products are not eligible for vendor price protection, and we are unable to fund refunds without vendor support.
We work hard to keep our products as affordable as possible, and we regret those instances when we cannot refund a price drop retroactively.
